Cindy Abouammo

With more than 27 years of dedication to youth soccer, Cindy Abouammo brings a deep well of experience, passion, and community commitment to her role as Director of Operations for Wenatchee Futbol Academy.

Cindy's journey in the soccer world began as an enthusiastic parent on the sidelines, but it didn't take long for her to step into a variety of leadership and support roles. Over the years, she has served as a coach, team manager, team treasurer, fundraiser coordinator, social media manager, board member, club registrar, and director of operations. Her wide-ranging experience has given her a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to build and sustain a successful soccer program.

Beyond youth soccer, Cindy has also contributed to the game at a higher level as the owner and operator of the NCW Alliance women's semi-professional team, further demonstrating her commitment to growing the sport in North Central Washington.

Since 2013, Cindy has held the roles of President and Director of Operations for Wenatchee United, while also serving as Club Registrar for Greater Wenatchee Soccer Club. She first joined Greater Wenatchee Soccer Club as Social Media Manager in 2022 before stepping into the registrar position, where she continues to support players, families, and the broader soccer community.

Cindy's motivation is rooted in her desire to serve. For her, soccer is about much more than the game itself—it's about creating a positive, healthy environment where young athletes can grow. She believes in the power of soccer to teach essential life lessons such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and a strong work ethic. Just as importantly, she values how the sport brings together a diverse community, fostering meaningful connections and friendships that extend far beyond the field.

A longtime admirer of Mohamed Salah, Cindy appreciates not only his exceptional skill and accomplishments, but also his humility, generosity, and team-first mentality. One of her favorite quotes from Salah reflects her own outlook:

"Always believe in your ability and your goals, this is the only way you will be able to reach them." — Mohamed Salah

Cindy is excited to continue serving the Wenatchee soccer community in her role with Wenatchee Futbol Academy and looks forward to seeing players and families out on the pitch.
